10-Day Blossom Season Tour of Skardu & Hunza

A scenic journey through northern Pakistan during the spectacular Blossom Season, combining mountain landscapes, historic forts, traditional villages, cultural experiences and the vibrant spring colors of Skardu and Hunza.

Day 1 – Arrival in Islamabad

Arrive at Islamabad International Airport, where you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy a relaxed evening to recover from your journey. If time permits, take a short drive around Islamabad and explore the city’s modern avenues and surrounding Margalla Hills.

Day 2 – Islamabad City & Cultural Exploration

After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Islamabad. Visit the impressive Faisal Mosque, one of Pakistan’s most recognizable landmarks, followed by the Pakistan Monument, offering panoramic views of the capital.

Continue through the city to explore local markets and cultural areas, with time to experience Pakistani cuisine and everyday life. The evening is free to relax or explore Islamabad independently.

Day 3 – Islamabad → Skardu | Flight to the Mountains

After breakfast, transfer to Islamabad Airport for your flight to Skardu, subject to weather and flight operations. The flight offers spectacular aerial views of the Karakoram and Himalayan mountain ranges.

Upon arrival in Skardu, transfer to your hotel and settle in. Depending on arrival time, visit nearby viewpoints or take a relaxed walk around Skardu town and the surrounding valleys.

Day 4 – Skardu & Shigar Valley | Blossom Season Experience

Today is dedicated to exploring the beautiful Skardu region during blossom season. Travel towards Shigar Valley, surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes and traditional villages.

Visit the historic Shigar Fort and explore the old settlement and local surroundings. During spring, the valleys are transformed by blooming apricot, cherry and almond trees, creating a striking contrast with the rugged mountains and snow-covered peaks.

Enjoy time in the villages and orchards, meet local people and experience the peaceful atmosphere of Baltistan.

Day 5 – Skardu → Hunza | Journey Through Gilgit-Baltistan

After breakfast, begin the scenic journey from Skardu towards Hunza. The route passes through spectacular mountain landscapes, valleys and traditional settlements.

Along the way, make stops at suitable viewpoints and local areas for photographs and refreshments. Continue towards Hunza and arrive in the evening.

After check-in, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Hunza with views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 6 – Hunza | Blossom, Forts & Mountain Scenery

Spend a full day discovering the highlights of Hunza during its beautiful blossom season.

Explore Karimabad, the historic heart of Hunza, and visit Baltit Fort, an impressive centuries-old fortress overlooking the valley. Continue to Altit Fort and the surrounding traditional village, where narrow lanes, stone houses and blossoming trees provide an authentic glimpse into local life.

Later, travel towards Attabad Lake, famous for its brilliant blue waters surrounded by towering mountains. Enjoy scenic views and photography opportunities before returning to Hunza.

Day 7 – Hunza → Gilgit | Scenic Karakoram Journey

After breakfast, depart Hunza for Gilgit. Continue along the spectacular Karakoram landscape, passing through mountain valleys and traditional villages.

Make selected stops along the way to enjoy the scenery and photograph the dramatic peaks, rivers and spring blossoms. Upon arrival in Gilgit, check in to the hotel and enjoy some free time to explore the city or relax.

Day 8 – Gilgit → Bisham | Along the Karakoram Highway

Today begins a scenic drive south towards Bisham. Follow the historic Karakoram Highway, passing through some of the most dramatic landscapes in northern Pakistan.

The journey follows the Indus River through narrow valleys, rugged mountains and remote communities. There will be opportunities for scenic stops and photography along the route.

Arrive in Bisham in the evening and check in to your hotel.

Day 9 – Bisham → Islamabad | Return to the Capital

After breakfast, continue the journey towards Islamabad. Travel through the changing landscapes of northern Pakistan, gradually leaving the high mountains behind.

Depending on road and traffic conditions, make suitable stops along the way for refreshments and photographs. Arrive in Islamabad in the afternoon or evening and check in to your hotel.

Enjoy a final evening in Islamabad at leisure.

Day 10 – Departure from Islamabad

After breakfast, transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your Blossom Season journey through Skardu, Hunza and the spectacular mountains of northern Pakistan.
